Originally from Moscow, Russia, at age of 21 I was diagnosed with cancer of the blood and given six months to live. Out of desperation, I turned from traditional medicine to Chinese medicine and Chi Kung (the ancient Chinese practice of meditation, breathing and relaxation; working with one’s life force and life energy). Miraculously, after several months, I was given a clean bill of health.
I graduated from McGill University with great distinctions where I obtained a degree in psychology and behavioral neuroscience. For the past 6 years, I have worked in a residential facility with individuals suffering from mental illness, addiction and federal offenders who are on parole. In my career as Residential Counselor, and Case manager I utilize a strength based approach to sustain the therapeutic community and to empower those in my care by creating a relationship based on trust, equality and respect.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Hypnotist with broad experience working with Adult, Couples, Adolescents and Children. I have more than 14 years of counseling experience in Canada and 5-years in Mexico. I use my knowledge of psychology, psychotherapy, Hypnosis and human relationships to improve and heal a wide range of challenges.
