<p>While our lives are gradually coming back to “normal “, there is less and less time. We seem to speed up more and more. What  this special time is teaching us?</p>



<p>If time is the space between memories, I wonder what would happen if each night we would forget everything. Every morning we would wake up to a new world. I bet we would feel like babies, excited, totally present, aware, and in a state of wonder.</p>



<p>There would be no time, no past. There would be no tomorrow as tomorrow is only imagination based on the memories from the past. There would be no fear, no anger, no guilt, no shame. As they are only memories of the pain from the past. We would live the joy of NOW. We would be at peace and we would love more.</p>



<p>Upon the awakening, we may ask ourselves I am in my boy or my body is inside of my consciousness?</p>



<p>Am I in the world or the world is inside of me?</p>



<p>What if the path of remembering who we are is practicing forgetting? Do we need to practice amnesia?</p>



<p>Or maybe the path of remembering who we are is about practicing forgiving, accepting, and letting go?</p>



<p>Forgiving is forgetting to judge and criticize yourself first and those are around you. Forgiving is forgetting the pains of separation, mistakes, and failures.</p>



<p>Do we need a dose of amnesia or we can remember to forgive and forget anything that doesn’t serve&nbsp;<strong>Truth, Love, Joy, and Peace</strong>?</p>



<p>I hope, my reader to help you find your path to being in the NOW.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>What comes to your mind when you hear the statement “The symptom is the cure”?</p>



<p>How can the symptom become medicine to cure it? Are you curious?</p>



<p>We are going to talk about the Paradoxical Theory of Change.</p>



<p>Webster reveals to us that the word&nbsp;<strong><em>paradox</em></strong>&nbsp;is derived from the Greek&nbsp;<em>para</em>&nbsp;(beyond) and&nbsp;<em>dox&nbsp;</em>(opinion). We can also translate it as the “statement contrary to common belief”.</p>



<p>The theory states that&nbsp;<em>change happens when one becomes what he/she is, not when he/she tries to become what he/she is not.</em></p>



<p>The truth is the more you try to be something that you are not, the more you will stay right where you are.</p>



<p>When it comes to our emotional/mental well-being, we can’t change the way we feel/react only by trying, forcing, or pushing ourselves into what is right. The change in the way we feel/react happens when we invest our time, energy and focus on BECOMING the change.</p>



<p>How?</p>



<ol><li>Choose to look at the symptom (negative emotion, uncomfortable feeling, negative thought, or negative behavior) as an opportunity to learn more about yourself;</li><li>Allow yourself to feel the symptom without trying to change it. Be present with it. Don’t judge it, don’t fight it, don’t run away from it;</li><li>Allow yourself to ACCEPT the symptom “to the best of your ability”;</li><li>Repeat these three steps 7 to 12 times or until you become aware that the symptom is disappearing as you are actively accepting it.</li></ol>



<p>Milton Erickson has taught us that&nbsp;<em>whenever a thought or an emotion is completely experienced, it disappears fully.&nbsp; </em>This is the Paradoxical Theory of Change in action.</p>

<p>Based on the book “Stealing Fire” by Steven Kotler</p>



<p>Do you know how to shut down fear/anxiety, accelerate healing, learning and perform at your best?</p>



<p>You can accomplish all of these by being in a very specific mind set, one of the states of consciousness we call non-ordinary states.</p>



<p>For thousands of years millions of people all over the world have been practicing meditation, mantras, yantras, qi qong, yoga, and many other methods only to achieve the same states of consciousness, alfa-theta states of brain frequency.<br>A recent breakthrough in neuro-science has discovered that non-ordinary states allow us to achieve in months what used to take years of diligent practice.</p>



<p>The moment you get into that state, your brain signature changes dramatically. Stress chemicals like cortisol and norepinephrine were momentarily replaced with performance enhancing dopamine, anandamide, serotonin and oxytocin.<br>A few hours of being in alfa-theta states overwrote years of fearful living. That’s how powerful they are. The science has summarised characteristics of non-ordinary states into four:<br>1. Selflessness<br>2. Timelessness<br>3. Effortlessness<br>4. Richness</p>



<p>Remember when was the last time or any time when you experienced all four? Remember how it&nbsp;felt to be in the state of almost ecstasy? Free from self, not being aware of time and purely enjoying being in the now?</p>



<p>Running around with friends when you were a child? Watching the starts with the one you love? Laying on the sand of a beautiful beach? Practicing meditation?? Dancing or singing and forgetting yourself? Giving a speech? Last time when you played sports?&nbsp;<br>First time when you listened to your favorite song? The time when you have experienced an ecstasy of being in the now, you were in the powerful healing, learning, life enhancing state.<br>What am I suggesting?</p>



<p>Remember the saying, &#8220;follow your Bliss&#8221;?<br>Make it your priority to BE MORE and to DO MORE of what takes you in your Bliss, your ecstasy, your personal non-ordinary states.</p>



<p>This is how you heal yourself. This is how you learn a great amount of information in no time. This is how you grow beyond ordinary.&nbsp;<br></p>



<p>Non-ordinary states of consciousness train us to become extraordinary people, to live the lives of purpose, devotion and service.</p>

<p>We get motivated by desperation or inspiration. These are the only two driving forces in life.</p>



<p>Take a moment and look at your past. How much did you learn from you own suffering, the changes in life, the failures and losses? How did those unfortunate events, traumas, losses, and failures push you to adapt, to create and to find the strength within yourself instead of looking for resources, support and help on the outside.</p>



<p>How much can we learn about ourselves from a place of losing control? What would it take for us to end the suffering that only comes from us holding onto the past and to the old? What would it take for us to stop trying to avoid change, and stop protecting ourselves from the unknown-new?</p>



<p>How can we grow into our greatness, to be inspired and to let go of old? If you are not holding onto the old, you are flowing with the change. When we accept and adjust, we begin to see opportunities where we only saw uncertainties.</p>



<p>What would it take for you to make a choice to not resist life, but to be inspired by changes? How do you step into your inspirational identity? Where do you start to embody the resilience and grit that is inside of you?</p>



<p><strong>Step 1: Choose courage</strong><br>Choose to BE courageous enough to accept what is happening in your life. Being brave and courageous to see your reality just the way it is, without trying to avoid it or resist it.</p>



<p><strong>Step 2: Acceptance</strong><br>As you are beginning to accept what is happening in your life, you will transcend your own negative emotions and you will transform the outside circumstances to your greatsurprise.</p>



<p><strong>Step 3: Love</strong><br>Unconditional acceptance is LOVE. When you accept somebody with no conditions, you love them. As you accept your emotions and the conditions unconditionally, you begin to heal yourself and you begin to heal your life with love in a powerful way.</p>



<p>These are three steps that will move you from desperation to inspiration; from fear to&nbsp;freedom, from mediocracy to your own greatness.</p>

<p>She asked him, ′′Tell me something nice!&#8221;<br>He answered her, ′′(∂ + m) ps = 0 ′′<br>This is the equation of Dirac, the most beautiful equation in physics. It describes the phenomenon of quantum connection, which alleges that if two separate systems interact with each other over a certain period of time and then separate, we can describe them as two different systems, but they will already exist as one unique system.<br>What happens to one will continue to affect the other, regardless of the distance between them. It&#8217;s called quantum intertwining or quantum entanglement.</p>



<p>The Law of entanglement shows us that two particles that were at some point connected remain connected forever, even when they are light-years apart. This is what happens to people when they are connected by what we humans call Love.<br>There is too much of the physical disconnect in the world now. It seems that the universe is teaching us to become aware of  The different levels of our connections, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.<br>The Law of entanglement reminds us that we are ALL connected. That connection is LOVE. Love is what has brought us into this world. </p>



<p>Whether or not we are aware of the Law of entanglement doesn’t really matter. Because we will continue affecting each other and being connected to each other anyway.<br>Vow to end anger, aggression, and fear within yourself. Choose to make love and compassion your way to connect with the world.<br>We can only be free when we are all free. We can only be happy when we are all happy. Stay connected, my dear reader.</p>

She was convinced that she was living and working in Italy during the Renaissance. The student began to produce amazing drawings. Sketch after sketch flowed effortlessly from her fingers. <p>Happiness is our birthright. And yet, we spend a lifetime learning how to be unhappy.<br>We have learned to collect the reasons why we shouldn’t be happy in the NOW.<br>We have learned to protect ourselves from the negative future by thinking of WHAT IF …<br>We have conditioned ourselves with IF-THEN thinking. If this happens, then I will be happy.<br>Being unhappy in the now becomes normal. Being afraid of the future becomes habitual.<br>Collecting more conditions of IF-THEN only puts your happiness in the hands of the limitless uncertainties of the future.<br>How to stop that vicious cycle of trained unhappiness? How to be free from it?<br>Happiness doesn’t exist in the future. The only happiness there exists in the now.<br>You might have been hurt or taken advantage of in the past. You may have a person or people around you being dishonest, conniving, overpowering, manipulating or unconscious… Do you have a choice?<br>“Whether or not your thoughts and feelings about these situations are justified or not, it doesn’t make a difference. You are making a present moment into your enemy. You are creating unhappiness.” And also adding into the collective unhappiness of the world. “Unhappiness spreads more easily than a physical disease.”<br>To become immune to unhappiness is to stop generating it within yourself. To become immune to unhappiness is to take responsibility for your own happiness and joy and to cultivate it daily.<br></p>



<p>I have found five daily practices that take me on the path of happiness:</p>



<ol><li>Practice to be fully present in the now</li><li>Train yourself to accept your own feelings</li><li>Practice letting go of judgment</li><li>Establish and move towards your “feeling goals”</li><li>Take time to cultivate peace within</li></ol>

<p>Mental chatter works like white noise. You are not aware of it but it is constantly running old thought patterns infused with anxiety, fears, worries, doubts, frustration and anger…<br></p>



<p>Like white noise, that masks the rest of the sounds around us, mental chatter blocks us from experiencing life at it’s fullest. It becomes a barrier for us to experience life just the way it is. It runs survivor programs to protect us from life, perceived as dangerous.<br></p>



<p>Mental chatter is unnoticeable once you get use to it. But it consumes a lot of mental energy to sustain itself. It frightens you ] with a fear of WHAT IF… and than it tries to resolve the fear. It sustains a never-ending cycle of negative thinking in an effort to prepare you for the future and the vicious cycle continues generating more of the fight and fly response.<br></p>



<p>You can’t drive your car forward and backward at the same time. You can’t act smart in the fight or flight. We either survive or thrive. We either move forward or backward.<br></p>



<p>There are a few steps you can take to switch from fight or fly to rest and digest, from your sympathetic to parasympathetic system, from surviving to succeeding in life.<br></p>



<p>It may take 15 min. of daily practice to rewire the old reactions. You can practice these four steps before bed time or first thing in the morning:</p>



<p><strong>Step 1. </strong>Slow down to witness your breath. Focus on your breathing for a few minutes;<br></p>



<p><strong>Step 2.</strong> Allow your thoughts as they come. Observe your thoughts without judgement for a few minutes;<br></p>



<p><strong>Step 3. </strong>Become aware of how you feel for a few minutes. Don’t try to change the way you feel. Just observe and accept to the best of your ability.<br></p>



<p><strong>Step 4.</strong> You will find yourself sinking into the pockets of NO THOUGHT experiences. At first, they may only last for a few moments. As you continue your practice, the gaps between the thoughts will be wider and the presence of peace within you too.</p>

<p>What did you wish for your loved ones on Christmas eve? Happiness?<br>Take a look at your journal from 10 years ago. Look at the list of the things you wanted for yourself back then. How many of them do you have now? Have those things made you happy?<br>If I get married, I will be happy; if I get my PHD, I will be happy; if I buy my next house, I will be happy…<br>Nothing wrong with wanting to have more and to be more. Only when we look back, 90% of the time, things we possessed didn’t make us Happy.<br>“There is nothing we need to have, to do and to be in order to be happy”. And yet we spend our entire life trying to buy, achieve, manifest and attract happiness.<br>When we get what we want, it makes us happy for a moment and then it leaves us with the need for the next want.<br>When we didn’t achieve the goal, when we couldn’t get that next thing the clash between our expectations and reality makes us unhappy. We begin to dread our future and run away from the past, thus creating more anxiety and fear instead of happiness.<br>What if beyond the duality of being happy or unhappy there is a space within us that is filled with acceptance of both?<br>What if we can start learning to BE HAPPY by accepting more of our lives just the way they are right now?<br>What if the ultimate happiness cares less about outcomes and focuses more on being in the process?<br>Mind is synonymous with resistance. Happiness is unconditional acceptance of what is. it means that happiness can’t be in the mind. Happiness is not the MIND. Where does happiness come from?<br>From peace, as peace is unconditional acceptance of what is.<br>It is the acceptance of what is that manifests good that has no opposite. And peace includes the opposite of it.<br>As you continue working on setting up your goals for 2021, make a list of your goals, look at them and make a promise to yourself to take actions and achieve those goals. Not because you hope this will make you happy, but because you are committing to invest in your journey, invest in yourself, in changing, in becoming and growing in spite of the outcome.<br>Shift your focus from the outcome to the process, from the results to your growth; from fear of not getting it to the excitement of becoming; from duality into unity; from drama to peace into the ultimate happiness that includes both sides of life.<br>To your unconditional happiness of peace and acceptance in 2021!</p>
